Role Profile: To maintain client facilities and to assist in the management of specialist maintenance sub-contractors including compliance with all parts of outsourced technical facilities management contract (high profile office environment. Key Responsibilities: Effective daily maintenance of all general facilities equipment on-site. Reporting of existing or potential problems with facilities equipment to Senior Facilities Engineer. Working with other maintenance staff and/or specialist contractors to effectively manage / maintain multi-disciplinary equipment. Complete planned maintenance of all electrical equipment – emergency and general lighting, testing and verification of electrical services, all electrical plant. Complete all reactive maintenance and fault-finding as needed. Reporting of existing or potential problems with electrical equipment to Senior Facilities Engineer. Ensure all facilities-related maintenance documentation is completed properly, files and accessible as required. Provide information about facilities as required/authorised. Use email and web-based helpdesk system to receive, understand and sign-off works orders. Use spreadsheets etc to record information/readings as agreed with the Senior Facilities Engineer. Use InfraRed camera to identify electrical issues and complete reports. Use mobile phone as required to receive instructions. To conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual inspections of equipment and to record on the web-based maintenance database. To report faults, errors, mis-readings etc found and to further investigate. To be courteous, well groomed, efficient and timely when dealing with staff and management of client. To carry out other tasks as assigned by the Senior Facilities Engineer. Criteria: Qualified Electrician with proven experience of maintenance (non-installation work) in commercial (non-domestic) buildings. Ability to carry out some non-electrical maintenance to a high standard (plumbing, carpentry, painting etc. IT Literate, good communicator, able to interact with people. Self-motivated. Efficient organiser – able to multi-task. Willingness to complete planned out of hours maintenance tasks as time in lieu as required. Willingness to be on call for emergency call-outs (paid as overtime) and to work out of hours for other works as needed (paid as overtime. Ideally 5 years’+ experience in similar role within a similar environment. Ideally 10+years’+ experience in a similar role within a high-profile office environment. Interested in this role?
