Relief Support Workers, Job Ref. JO2993. North West Donegal. Contract, Hours are fulltime (up to 40 hours per week) and part time (24 hours. Salary €12.27 per hour. We have partnered with an established charity in Ireland who support individuals with an intellectual disability, autism and those in need of mental health services. Due to continued growth and expansion as a provider of quality services, they wish to recruit for 4 full-time Relief Support Workers and one part time Relief Support Worker to work across their facilities in Co. Donegal. This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative organisation. Responsibilities: This role involves the delivery of quality care and support to Service Users within our Client’s supported living, day care, outreach and residential services for children and/or adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism, disabilities, mental health difficulties or complex needs. What we are looking for: The successful candidate must: Have a minimum of 6 month’s experience of supporting people in a caring field as a paid employee, volunteer or carer. Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of people with intellectual disability. Be flexible as the role involves 24 hour cover on a rota/shift basis. This can involve sleep over cover, night cover, evening and weekend work on a shift rota basis. Possess a full current driving licence that allows you to drive in ROI and access to a car. Business insurance will be a requirement for this post. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a driver’s licence. Have effective Communication/Listening skills. Have excellent Leadership attributes. Have high quality customer service skills. Ideally have completed Manual Handling Training, First Aid Training, Training in working with Vulnerable Adults and Training in caring for individuals with epilepsy.
