Senior Support Workers, Job Ref. JO2994. North West Donegal. Contract, Hours are full time (37.5 hours) and one part time role 16 hours per week. Salary €14.35 per hour. We have partnered with an established charity in Ireland who support individuals with an intellectual disability, autism and those in need of mental health services. Due to continued growth and expansion as a provider of quality services, they wish to recruit for 2 full-time Senior Support Workers to work across their services in North West Donegal. This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative organisation. Responsibilities: To assist the Manager in the effective and efficient management of the scheme, including outreach, day care, supported living and residential services, and to lead the team alongside the Manager in providing the highest possible standard of support to Service Users in line with Inspire strategy. This post with Inspire is designed to meet the demands of delivering quality services to people, both children and adults, with intellectual disabilities, Autism, disabilities, mental health difficulties and /or have complex needs, who may or may not present with behaviours that challenge. What we are looking for: Qualifications Required: Professional qualification for example: Professional Social Work qualification. Qualified Intellectual Disability/Mental Health Nurse. A qualified Health Care Professional. OR. A relevant Social Care Degree or equivalent related qualification. OR. ETAC Major level 5 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or equivalent related qualification. Ideally candidates will have completed Manual Handling Training, First Aid Training, Training in working with Vulnerable Adults and Training in caring for individuals with epilepsy. Candidates must have Garda Clearance or be willing to complete the Garda Clearance/Vetting Procedure. Experience Required: A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a Social Care setting. Experience of liaising with statutory and other voluntary agencies. Proven experience of financial planning and managing monies. Have proven experience of motivating Services Users Additional Requirements: Applicants must be flexible as the role requires 24 hours a day, 7 day a week cover. This can involve. sleep over cover, night cover, evening and weekend work on a shift rota-basis. Applicants must possess a full current driving licence that allows you to drive in ROI and access to a car. Business insurance will be a requirement for this post. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a driver’s licence.
