Project Engineer/s, Job Ref. JO3324. Inishowen, Co. Donegal. Permanent roles. Full-time hours, 40 hour working week – 8.00am to 4.30pm. Salary DOE plus bonuses. Our client is a highly reputable and successful Engineering company with a portfolio of clients stretching across Ireland, the U.K., Europe and the U.S.A., where they service and cater to the large scale industrial and commercial markets. Due to continued growth and the increase in their workload, they wish to appoint up to 4 Project Engineers. Role Purpose: Reporting to a Project Engineering Team Leader this position presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional pertaining to design engineering and key project management functions of electrical switchgear production. Project Engineers are central and key to the business. The roles are 75% project management with 25% technical design, and they are the key contact between the Company and the Client, in that they not only manage the design stage of each order, they project manage the order from Client introduction right through to the pathway of installation and reconnection at the Clients premises, including budget / commercial costings / variations of each project. They are heavily weighted Project Management “client facing” roles. Responsibilities: Preparation of detailed design drawings and documentation in line with specification requirements for LV Switchgear and /or Busbar Trunking; Commercial control of key projects including budgets and variations; Liaison with key customers, sub-contractors and suppliers, including site surveys and meetings; Material management / procurement; Project commercial controls including variations and pay applications; Preparation of design drawings and documentation. What we are looking for: Proven experience in a related position / comparable role involving exposure to design engineering and managing multiple ongoing projects; HND or BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering; Project management skills / Budget / Costings; Aptitude for problem solving; An adaptability to respond to a fast-moving business environment; Accuracy and attention to detail; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Those successful in these roles are professional, organised and possess strong time management skills.
