Quality Manager- Donegal. Key Purpose: The Ideal Candidate will be required to establish and maintain a systematic approach to successful control of manufacturing processes and accreditation to regulatory bodies. Ensuring that internal and external customers receive products which meet their specifications and that customers have confidence in the products and processes. The Quality Manager will act in the best interests of the business in making appropriate decisions on discrepant material, ensuring the integrity for all stakeholders. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all H & S requirements and procedures are adhered to, including the correct use of specified PPE, as well as the prompt reporting and resolution of all incidents and/or accidents within the Quality Dept. • Ensure that Quality Systems and Policies are appropriately developed, communicated and maintained across all production and related processes. Such systems must be part of the manufacturing process rather than additional to it. • Establish strong working relationships with all departments ensuring a cohesive approach to delivering the highest quality products, right first time. • Ensure appropriate procedures are in place to deal effectively with product which is deemed non-conforming, including materials bought in and those produced in-house for the internal or external customer. • Act as the interface between the company and customers, ensuring a robust strategy of investigation, correction and prevention is in place to deal with all customer complaints. • Ensure the maintenance of a robust Quality Management System capable of achieving and maintaining necessary accreditation with external bodies, including ISO / BRC AA (minimum), FSC / PFSC and other customer specific or industry standards. • Ensure that the highest standards of Product Quality are maintained through specific instruction and documentation; procedural adherence and audit verification. • Participate in the identification of appropriate training which upskills and improves the performance of all employees and maximises their contribution to the business irrespective of role. • Ensure that all reports are aligned with site objectives in their tasks and routines, the process and task of continuous improvement must be a key feature of the Quality Department. • Ensure that all non-conformances, rework and complaints are recorded in a format (CRM database) which can be interrogated for trends and actions, providing solutions to quality related issues. • Ensure there is a robust system in place to deal with Critical Control Points or other areas of potential exposure within the production process, that these are known and monitored for compliance, variation and correction as required.
