Engineering Manager - County Donegal. In this role you will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of all strategic and project-based engineering activity. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all H & S requirements and procedures are adhered to, including the reporting and resolution of all incidents or accidents and the correct use of specified PPE. 2. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all departments, ensuring that all Engineering activity is carried out in a planned and co-ordinated way, such that site objectives are not adversely affected. 3. Provide the necessary Engineering direction to Capital Projects, including the design, build, upgrade and installation of production equipment and facilities infrastructure. 4. Act as the point of contact between the company and equipment manufacturers, suppliers, contractors and internal functions regarding the initiation, progress and conclusion of engineering projects and their impact on Operations. 5. Provide project engineering input and experience to Production, Maintenance and Quality Managers, regarding recurring process issues, customer complaints and any other performance detractors to enable their ultimate resolution. 6. Provide knowledge, advice and hands-on assistance to the Maintenance Manager in the event of a critical failure in production equipment. 7. Ensure that the budget assigned to the role and specific projects is managed according to the requirements of the Finance Department and achieving the best value on investments. 8. Manage the work, schedule and timelines of those involved in specific project activity, ensuring that all projects are delivered in line with (or better than) the Return On Investment identified in the project objectives. 8 Provide advice and expertise to the continued attainment of the highest standard of accreditations including BRC, ISO and other certifying requirements.
