Finishing Foreperson, JO3505. Donegal Company, The role will be site based throughout Ireland. Sites are mainly in the Connacht and Leinster provinces. Permanent / Full time. Salary: €38,000 to €48,000 DOE. This is an exciting time to join our Client and to be a part of a team of highly skilled professionals. The role will be both demanding and rewarding. Responsibilities: ¿Work closely with the site manager to Implement daily and weekly programmes to ensure project deliverables are met; ¿Assist the Site Manager to oversee the direction of the project to ensure quality, safety and timely completion of deliverables for the client; ¿Check and understand all project plans/drawings; ensuring that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the Site Manager in a timely manner; ¿Ensure compliance with drawings, specification, building regulations and good building practise; ¿Provide clear leadership and direction to the site team while maintaining a professional manner. Work closely with the site manager to identify any critical risks or issues early. Compile labour allocation sheets for direct and hired labour under your designated work area; ¿Organise and coordinate the daily activities of all direct staff, subcontractors, equipment, plant and utilise corrective action to keep the project on time and on budget; ¿Assist with the coordination and management of subcontractors and direct staff to ensure work is carried out to the highest standard and that optimum productivity levels are maintained; ¿Review and fully understand the appointments document; ¿Assist the Site Manager to provide technical assistance of construction services including identifying repairs and improvements to be made, developing and writing scopes of work, managing construction projects through completion and resolving disputes in a timely manner, when necessary; ¿Identify and execute best practices concerning the efficient use of construction materials; ¿Plan work in an efficient and effective order, maximizing progress in a safe and timely manner. What we are looking for: ¿Willingness to work flexible hours required for the job; ¿Must be willing to travel based on the requirements of the role; ¿Must have a full clean driving license with access to your own car; ¿All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance; ¿Must be eligible to work in Ireland (or region of project); ¿A third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or other relevant discipline; ¿A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar* senior role within the construction industry. OR a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar* senior role within the construction industry. AND must have previously managed projects from cradle-to-grave; ¿Must have worked on new build and/or refurbishment projects up to the value of £5M. - Must have specific finishing experience to a high standard; ¿Must have a valid Safepass Card or equivalent. * Similar role is defined as Construction Manager, Site Manager or Senior Engineer.
