Setting Out Engineer, JO3502. Donegal Company though this role is primarily site based. Sites are mainly in the Connacht and Leinster provinces. Permanent / Full time. Salary: €35,000 - €40,000 DOE. Responsibilities: ¿Ensure accurate setting out and levelling of the work in accordance with the drawings/specifications; ¿Ensures that all relevant tolerances have been catered for without compromising design; ¿In collaboration with the Site Manager and/or other relevant supervisors, you will review construction outputs and plan the most efficient sequence of operations with an emphasis on control of the works, quality and technical advice; ¿Ensure all drawings and information relating to the Projects’ area of work are accurate and up to date; ¿Review Architect/Engineer/Services/Sub-Contractor drawings to ensure co-ordination and integration; ¿ Ensure that the Sub-contractors are using the latest version of the contract record drawings & specifications, whilst ensuring that they are technically coordinated; ¿Ensure quality control and testing of work and materials is carried out in accordance with the specification requirements; ¿Ensure works are carried out in accordance with the Construction Programme; ¿Plan work and efficiently organise site facilities in order to meet agreed project deadlines; ¿Carry out check on works prior to and following any concrete pours; ¿Assist the Site Manager to direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of sub-contractors and to resolve any technical issues that may arise; ¿Liaise with local authorities as appropriate or when instructed to ensure compliance with local construction regulations; ¿Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of own activity related to projects to enable traceability; ¿Quality control and record keeping in accordance with procedural method statements, quality plans and inspection and test plans which have been prepared by the project management team and by subcontractors; ¿Carries out snagging and de-snagging during construction process. What we are looking for: ¿Willingness to work flexible hours required for the job; ¿Must be willing to travel based on the requirements of the specific project primarily in the connact and leinster provinces; ¿Must have a full clean driving license with access to your own car; ¿Must be eligible to work in Ireland (or specific region of the project) by closing date of the job vacancy; ¿A third level qualification in Engineering, Construction or other relevant discipline; ¿A minimum of 1 years’ recent experience as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering projects; ideally with main contractor OR a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering projects; ideally with main contractor AND must have Setting out, Temporary Works, Façade Retention, Bulk Excavation experience; ¿Must have a valid Safepass Card or equivalent; ¿A third level qualification relates to HNC/HND/ Degree etc. If interested, what you need to do next: To register your interest in this position in confidence please submit a copy of your full up-to-date C.V. with a cover email/letter highlighting your suitability for the position.
