Description

Quality Engineer - County Donegal. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements and the BRC Standard for Food Safety and Customer requirements. You will investigate the root causes of failures and implement improvements to prevent recurrence of failures; whilst managing and taking responsibility for routine Quality activities. Carry out quality control checks in the production area and BRC related paperwork in the office, to police the factory ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices are maintained. Core responsibilities: • Creating and maintaining the company's Quality Standards; develop, implement and maintain the company's quality documentation, such as quality procedures, reports. • Establishing, implementing and maintaining quality awareness throughout the various departments. • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance products and the environment; through training and work instructions. • Build relationships internally and externally with department managers, supervisors and employees; • Liaise with supervisors and operators to ensure the smooth introduction of new products and processes and for reporting and reducing quality issues. • Work with cross-functional teams to generate Inspection Test Plans that ensure the highest quality of products are produced. • Inspect to ensure that products and processes comply with requirements, using established manufacturing techniques, • Ensure all quality data is captured and communicate and if necessary meet with customers as and when required, • Conduct audits, creating audits, finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions as and when issues arise. • Analyse the root causes and implement corrective actions for processes or parts that have concerns. • Analyse customer returns and implement corrective and preventive plans/actions, • Responsible for organising and managing the activities of quality functions, • Continuously improving Quality procedures, • Ensure quick resolution of customer quality failures, and implement corrective and preventive actions. • Ensure supplier assurance and if necessary perform quality audits. • Preparation of QA reports. Interested applicants should have: • Qualifications in quality or supervision and / or previous experience in a production engineering or process environment • Must be able to show a good practical use of manufacturing equipment and manufacturing techniques. • Capable of making independent decisions; whilst being appreciative of department managers and customer requirements and demands; • Must be able to show a good knowledge of GMP and its applications. • Must be able to show a good practical use quality assurance and control techniques.
