Supermarket Store Manager Job. We here in Excel Recruitment are currently recruiting for a retail brand who is a household name and a leading retail group. We have successfully placed previous managers who have flourished with this group in the past and acheived great success in their retail careers. Currently, we are seeking a senior supermarket Store Manager who has vast experience controlling the P&L within a fresh food business that holds high standards. It is vital the successful candidate has a strong business acumen and has a passion for fresh foods and retail. This is a secluded but a busy seasonal town in North of Donegal, this role would be ideal for someone looking to relocate for more space, change of lifestyle and to have a lower cost of living along with a good job running a successful supermarket. Key Responsibilities for this Managers job: Responsible for the overall running of this busy Supermarket store. Drive sales, service, productivity, and standards throughout the store maintaining high standards in all areas of the shop. Liaise regularly with the store owner and regional managers on operational issues. Hold regular meetings with your management team, monitoring KPI's and store performances based on weekly and monthly reports. Responsible for creating an enjoyable working atmosphere for your team to thrive in, motivating all the staff, driving productivity through good leadership practices. Responsible for the staffing levels, workforce planning in line with the business needs, handling other HR queries that may arise. Ensure the store is fully compliant with all Health & Safety and HACCP regulations. Skills & Experience required for this Store Manager job: The successful candidate must have strong business acumen, competent using a PC and analysing reports to assess store performances and results. You must be a highly motivated retail manager, professional at all times and have a courteous manner towards your team and customers. You must have excellent experience in the Grocery retail industry, responsible for managing a busy retail grocery shop, that has high standards and fresh foods including counters. This is a target driven environment, the successful candidate must come from a retail environment where you have been responsible for meeting shop targets and managing controllable costs.
