Head of Finance

An opportunity now exists in Donegal County Council for the position of Head of Finance.

A key member of the senior management team reporting to the Chief Executive, the Head of Finance will lead and manage the finance function within the Council. The successful candidate will be required to make a valuable contribution to the strategic management of the finance function as well as provide a high level of independence and objectivity. This is an opportunity for an experienced finance professional to fully utilise their professional, technical and management skills in an environment that promotes a high performance culture.

The successful candidate will have:

·        A professional accountancy qualification and be a member of a recognised body of accountants;

·        Satisfactory experience of accountancy work including management and financial accounting;

·        Relevant management experience at an appropriate level.
